Foursquare Connection

CHALLENGE

Foursquare Communications wanted an evergreen logo for their annual leadership convention. The mark needed to be engaging, welcoming, and connected—symbolic of what Foursquare Connection means for its dedicated attendees. The mark needed to be something that was strong enough to stand on its own, but could be flexible and complement the annual theme.

SOLUTION

My team and I developed a looping C—for connection. The mark conveys several ideas, including a handshake, a hug, relationships, forward movement, and networking. It is made out of several interlocking strokes to give a sense of pieces coming together to be connected to each other.  

RESULTS

Foursquare Connection 2014, where the new brand was debut, had more than 3,000 attendees from across the U.S. and 41 other countries.
