PASSION

See art in everything, everywhere.

— Lou Vega, my former Art Director at ESPN the Magazine

When I was an intern at ESPN the Magazine, my Art Director taught me an important lesson that has stuck with me for over 12 years now. Art and design are in everything, everywhere. We can’t miss an opportunity to be inspired by everyday things.

This lesson drives me to continue to learn and grow my design skills outside of my job. I use design as my passion and use it to complete and fulfill other areas of my life. I have two kids and I continue to use so many of these skills to celebrate them and my family and friends. I’ve always believed the talents I have been given are not my own and should be used to inspire, motivate, and support those around me.

Birth stat posters commemorating milestones of my kids’ first years.

Postcard set made of pictures of my favorite beaches with encouraging one-liners.

Created a sticker to encourage friends

Matching shirts in remembrance of my Grandma for my family to wear during the Alzheimer's Walk; her funeral program I created watercoloring and then digitizing flowers.

Illustrated inspirational posters for my son’s baby shower and then turned them into nursery decor.
